Adirondack Studios (ADKS) is hiring for our growing Technical Design department and is looking for individuals with experience in design and construction for entertainment environments who have a track record of taking ownership and delivering. Our company designs, builds, and installs the scenic and themed environments you experience in venues that range from theme parks to casinos, museums, live shows, retail, and public art. Desired skills and expertise:
Technical designer fulfills project requirements such as shop drawings, models, narratives, sketches, and engineering documentation.
Familiarity with theatrical fabrication methods and materials as a builder, installer, and/or designer including an ability to read and understand design drawings.
Familiarity with industry design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks and/or other parametric modelling software desired.
Training or employment in fields such as technical theater or themed entertainment is a plus.
Work collaboratively with the technical design team, third party engineers, ADKS production and creative departments, clients, and vendors.
Experience working in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills are required.

Depending on qualifications, a Pay Range of $24.00 – $30.00 per hour is offered for this design role.
This position will be headquartered out of Argyle, New York (1 hour north of Albany and 30 minutes from Saratoga Springs).
