SUMMARY: Reviews various financial documents and credit file information to assess a borrower’s ability to repay, prepare comprehensive loan presentations and determine overall relationship risk rating based on this analysis. Must possess knowledge of applicable banking compliance regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1*. *Work with lenders and CCO to ensure consistent and accurate credit analysis and loan presentations.
2. Prepare financial statement spreads and perform comprehensive analysis of cash flow.
3. Evaluate individual personal financial statements, tax returns, and prepare global cash flows.
4. Verify compliance with credit policy, applicable regulations, and lending procedures.
5. Conduct industry and market analysis to identify risks and risk mitigating factors.
6. Prepare analyses of complex loan requests, reviews, and renewals.
7. Work with lenders to provide timely response and turnaround by monitoring and prioritizing pipeline.
8. Work with lenders, COO and Credit Administration to ensure the appropriate level of regular analysis for all credits.
9. Work with lenders on new and troubled relationships in understanding the cash flow, balance sheet qualities, and overall strength and weaknesses of the transactions.
10. Provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers.
11. Formulate questions based on financial statements and other client information identifying changes in customer’s financial condition.
12. Utilize the findings of the analysis, identify structural deficiencies within the commercial relationship and report mitigations.
13. Maintains all commercial relationship files.
14. Required to attend or participate in necessary compliance training, including but not limited to BSA, Security, Information Technology, OFAC, Privacy and applicable BVS courses.
15. Perform all other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required OR equivalent experience in commercial lending.
2. 3-5 years’ experience in credit analysis preferred.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ability to multi-task in highly demanding environment.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to remain focused & work independently.
6. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
