Adelphi is seeking Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teachers to provide APE services and complete evaluations for students in schools in Florida. The ideal candidates must have a creative and innovative mindset, along with excellent problem solving skills in order to create and facilitate successful adapted activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Health and Fitness or related field
One to two years teaching experience
Current State of Florida Teacher/ Occupational Therapist/ Physical Therapist License or Certification

Responsibilities:

Providing direct or indirect IEP APE services
Implementing instructional programs in physical and motor fitness
Maintaining logs for direct and indirect service
Assisting special education teacher in IEP development and progress report completion
Completing evaluations, IEPs, and progress reports on Frontline
Consulting with school general education and special education school staff to assist in modifying and adapting general physical education to allow access.
