Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing all accounts receivable transactions for their assigned business unit. This includes invoicing, collections, and reconciling customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, be able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, and have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage all accounts receivable transactions.
- Create and send invoices to customers.
- Follow up with customers on outstanding balances.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end close activities.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or higher preferred.
- 3 years of experience in an accounts role, preferably in an AR function.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel twice a year for up to one week to other sites.
- Extended periods of sitting: This position often spends much of their workday sitting at a desk or in meetings.
- Computer & Phone use: Constant use of laptops and other electronic devices is typical in this role.
- Repetitive Motions: Typing, using a mouse, or performing similar repetitive tasks.
- Occasional standing or walking: While much of the work is sedentary, this position will have occasions to move around the facility for interactions with other departments.
- Communication: This position must be able to actively communicate with all levels of stakeholders. This includes speaking, listening, and assisting with giving presentations in person and virtually.
- Lifting or carrying: Though not as frequent, there might be occasional requirements to lift or carry items up to 25lbs.
