Position Summary

The successful person in this role will pick materials from stock in support priorities as determined by production planning. This role is responsible for initial counts and reporting in support of the company’s inventory cycle count program. It acts as water spider to production cells for point-of-use material replenishment. It is required to transact material issues and movements in the MRP system with thoroughness and accuracy. It will be a key resource to annual physical inventory counts and other activities where material inventory maintenance is a component.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

  • Pull materials from the stockroom for work orders and transacting materials in the MRP system.
  • Move materials to production cells, replenishing point-of use as needed and transacting movements of material in the MRP system.
  • Deliver Kanban cards to Purchasing for the timely replenishment.
  • Conduct daily Cycle Counts and submitting date to inventory control.
  • Notify Supply Chain Manager when non-conforming material is identified during the performance of the role’s functions.

Qualification Standards

  • At least two years in a stockroom, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in transacting in MRP systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to expediency and accuracy in all work.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be willing to 40 work hours per week with willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching required).

Work Location: This position will report daily to our Marlborough, MA location
