The business unit performs design, analysis, testing, and fabrication to advanced technologies through the complete concept-to-flight development cycle.

Summary

Load Path, a Redwire Space company, is looking for aStructural Analyst II to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team focused on developing satellite and launch vehicle mechanical and structural technologies. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated structural engineer interested in an autonomous work environment and being involved in projects through the entire product development cycle; beginning with initial concept generation through detailed design and analysis, hardware fabrication, and finally verification testing.

This position’s responsibilities will focus on static and dynamic finite element analyses of state-of-the-art structures and mechanisms for satellites, launch vehicles, and missile defense applications using FEMAP and NASTRAN. Specific products include multiple payload launch structures, deployable satellite antennas, test configurations, and spacecraft mechanisms. Position will be in Littleton, CO. or Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with team members across multiple disciplines (Simulation, Mechanical, and Systems Engineers)
Mesh, simulate, and post-process analysis performed on complex structures and mechanisms
Execute simulation workflows in accordance with customer and industry standards
Generate and deliver reports to managers and senior-level staff

Ideal Experience

Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or other relevant field with 2 years’ of work experience or Masters’ degree with no prior work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience analyzing, researching, and developing structural engineering solutions for complex mechanical and mechatronics systems for space applications.
Demonstrated software knowledge in Finite Element Analysis
Analysis of static and dynamic structural systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills

Knowledge of GD&T and/or tolerance critical design-for-assembly.
Finite-element modeling experience, preferably using FEMAP and NASTRAN.
Solidworks design experience.
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Pay Range
$80,000 - $110,000

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
