Shipping & Receiving Clerk

DM Texas is looking for a highly organized and efficient shipping clerk to assume shipping and receiving responsibilities for Adaptive 3D. This person is required to be both proficient in the role of shipping and receiving clerk and able to manage the numerous priorities that come with fast-paced additive manufacturing company.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Receive and process material orders on a daily basis, including accepting deliveries, labeling them and distributing packages internally.
• Packages outbound shipments; generates appropriate shipping labels; records outbound shipments as directed.
• Verify contents of shipment against original order and packing list.
• Monitor fulfillment center daily to ensure all delivery instructions have been provided and followed in a timely manner.
• Contact companies to arrange for shipping and delivery of goods.
• Coordinate the delivery of shipments to the freight forwarder once packing is complete.
• Responsible for coordinating all special project orders for pick-up and distribution, and special packaging needs including label processing.
• Create customs documents for export shipments
• Maintain appropriate documents for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Maintain the company stockroom by cleaning, organizing, and labeling items in storage on a regular basis
• Various tasks to assist with day-to-day operations of planning and shipping
• Perform other related duties, as necessary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 3 – 5 years experience in shipping and receiving
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent follow-up skills.
• Great record keeping and data entry skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with web-based tools
• Prefer to have over 1 years of handling dangerous goods shipping and/or relatable experience.
• Certification in IATA, DOT, and IMDG hazardous material shipments preferred.
