Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to work within the Human Resources Office to manage and standardize the recruiting and hiring process for Faculty, Administrative and Classified staffing needs across campus. This position will play a key role in managing the full recruitment cycle ensuring that we consistently meet our staffing requirements and acquire and retain diverse and qualified talent for the University. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the overall recruiting and onboarding process, that complies with Adams State policy and federal and state law; that is inclusive and equitable; and supports the talent management of ASU employees. This position will also be responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and offering guidance throughout the initial onboarding process. Responsibilities will encompass assisting hiring managers and new hires alike, ensuring a supportive onboarding experience. Specific Job Duties (Essential Functions and Responsibilities) Develops, facilitates, implements, oversees and tracks all phases of the recruitment and hiring process to ensure a efficient applicant workflow Update and implement recruiting procedures to attract a well-qualified and diverse workforce Monitors and evaluates annual recruiting metrics Develops, manages, and implements talent acquisition strategies, hiring plans, and sourcing tactics Works in conjunction with the Office of Equal Opportunity and the Executive Equity Officer to develop search committee protcol to ensure the evaluation of applicants are inclusive and equitable Collaborates with department stakeholders to identify recruiment needs and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions to follow hiring criteria Contributes to the public outreach efforts to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates Identifies and implements efficient and effective, inclusive, and equitable recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization Assist hiring managers and search committees with recruiting methods, interview questions and techniques Creates job postings and submit for advertising processes Screens applications for minimum qualifications Assists with the interview process, which may include helping schedule interviews, oversee preparation of interview questions, and attend and conduct interviews as appropriate Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff to forecast future hiring needs and develops a plan to address unmet needs Works with the HR Director or staff to identify and recommend salary ranges, start dates, and other pertinent details Uses traditional and nontraditional resources such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events to identify and attract quality candidates Identifies hiring needs, designs job descriptions and other hiring and selection materials, sources candidates through databases and social media and other appropriate avenues Builds the Institution’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, institutions and other partners Maintains complete records of interview information and other documentation as necessary Develop and maintain an initial onboarding program tailored to new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into their position Conduct orientation sessions to introduce new hires to Institutional policies and resources Coordinating initial training programs, and facilitating introductions to key team members Provide ongoing support and guidance to new hires throughout their first 90 days at the institution Coordinate with Center for Teaching, Innovation, and Research (CTIR) and other campus constituents to support ongoing training and campus engagement Manage and ensure an efficient and professional applicant experience from pre-hire to onboarding Stay up-to-date on current best practices and research related to hiring and onboarding Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and university policies and stays abreast of legislative activities Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field At least 3 years filling a variety of positions with a mid-sized company or Institution of Higher Education Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems and HR databases Working knowledge of HR policies and recruitment best practices Experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process Strong sourcing skills and proficiency in utilizing various recruitment channels Excellent interviewing and assessment abilities Experience in onboarding and employee orientation programs Ability to establish and maintain professional, productive, and collaborative working relationships with staff and faculty at all levels at the university Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the University Superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Applications, or similar technologies Knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations Demonstrated commitment to diversity and success working with diverse individuals to support an inclusive campus environment Preferred Qualification: Demonstrated knowledge of Adams State and the SLV region Demonstrated negotiation skills Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles Familiarity with Colorado laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment of a diverse pool of qualified applicants Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems State of Colorado Certification in Selection and/or Job Evaluation HR or recruiting certifications Bilingual, Spanish speaking Salary and Benefits Salary $68,052-$77,421 and is commensurate with education, qualifications, and experience.
