Responsibilities:
- handle all aspects of Divorce / Family law case
- Conduct legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case preparation
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Prepare and organize case files, including maintaining electronic and physical records
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule hearings and depositions
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness files
- Attend court hearings and trials to provide support to attorneys
- Perform legal administrative tasks such as filing documents with the court and managing calendars
Skills:
- Strong writing skills to draft clear and concise legal documents
- Ability to conduct thorough research on case law and statutes
- Familiarity with the litigation process in family law cases
- Excellent organizational skills to manage case files and deadlines
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Ability to negotiate settlements under attorney supervision
MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS FAMILY LAW EXPERIENCE
