Due to large workloads, they have created a new role for a Director of Operations to run the day-to-day workload in the business.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to lead our clients growing RNG business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management, with a focus on renewable energy or related industries such as Oil & Gas or Chemical engineering. As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our production facilities, optimizing processes, and driving operational efficiency to meet and exceed company goals.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and drive sustainable growth.
• Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of RNG production facilities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Resource Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize resource utilization, minimize waste, and maximize output through effective planning and resource allocation.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and permits governing RNG production, environmental protection, and workplace safety.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, finance, and sales teams, to align operations with business objectives and customer requirements.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and optimize costs.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in operational processes, technologies, and systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and profitability.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, implement appropriate controls, and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the Oil & Gas or biogas industry.
• Proven track record of leadership and success in driving operational excellence, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Strong technical aptitude and understanding of RNG production processes, equipment, and technology.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in environmental, health, and safety management.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a focus on innovation and growth.
