Who we are looking for:The ACV Manager, Transportation - Shipper Services is responsible for leading a team of Shipper Services Teammate and driving sales both directly and through the team. The main focus of the team is to acquire, retain, and upsell dealerships, commercial clients, and other targets to drive revenue within the Transportation Business. This Teammate will work closely with ACV Transport operations, marketing, technology, etc. as well as with the broader ACV Family of teammates. This Teammate will be a self-starter, a clear communicator, and fill a critical player-coach role on the team to drive the Transport business forward. What you will do:Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Sell new customers through relationships, direct outreach, collaboration and moreRetain business through excellent communication, customer service, and issue managementManage pipeline of opportunities through identifying opportunities, tracking activities, and forecasting outcomesCollaborate closely with the ACV Family of Teammates to leverage internal referrals and relationshipsCollaborate closely with ACV Transportation Operations and Technology leadership to drive strategy, share customer feedback, and improve the businessDevelop and maintain deep systems understanding to ensure customers are setup properly and issues are promptly resolvedCreate, propose, and monitor special deals with the operations leadership teamReview deals for exceptions and escalate as appropriate for overrides, operational procedure and pricing.Lead shipper services team through communication of performance expectations, providing direct support as needed to the sales team through participation in sales calls or related activities, coaching staff to enhance their effectiveness and holding them accountable for results.Establish team objective, goals, and KPIs and Mentor, coach, and grow teammatesConduct monthly business reviews with the sales team to review performance and plans.Use Salesforce, Tableau and other internal solutions to effectively manage and document activities and opportunities.Meet or exceed assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals; focusing on new customer activation, wallet share and retentionBuild trusted relationships with decision makers and the dealership.Prepare and present monthly / quarterly sales reports and forecasts to Transport senior management.Perform additional duties as assigned. What you will need:High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.7 years’ sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry.4 years’ sales management experience preferred.3 years’ customer service experience.Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotasStrong understanding of technology and systemsStrong understanding of the automotive industry, dealerships, and market dynamicsExcellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skillsExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to develop solutions to challengesTravel approximately 10-30% through assigned markets.
