THE ROLE:

We are seeking a dynamic Immigration Program Manager position to help Human Resources-Immigration operations. The primary role of this position is to lead and support immigration. This position is responsible for processing immigration petitions in a timely, efficient, and effective manner while proactively troubleshooting issues that may arise. This role also ensures that the internal databases are accurately maintained and all immigration requirements are current for each applicant.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Monitor and analyze U.S. immigration legislation, regulations, policy, adjudication trends, and practice changes
  • Perform more substantive work including a range of case related duties, including preparing and filing labor certification documents as well as H1B petitions.
  • Draft and review immigrant, non-immigrant petitions, RFEs, Green Cards and prioritize casework and projects as needed.
  • Develop policy and practice guidance on U.S. business immigration law, including employment-based permanent residence, foreign labor certification, nonimmigrant visa classifications, and related compliance issues, with a focus on positive results and risk management
  • Filing applications with government agencies
  • Compile and summarize large quantities of confidential data related to employee immigration filing and records
  • Obtain documents and information necessary to prepare applications for multiple cases at a time
  • Communicate regularly with the team and foreign nationals regarding procedural, case processing issues, and case strategy
  • Collaborate with others for instruction, guidance, and direction
  • Meet assigned deadlines and communicate case progress/status/issues to supervisor
  • Demonstrate flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team
  • Assists with case planning, development, and management, legal research, gathers facts and retrieves information, drafts and analyzes legal documents, and collects, complies, and utilizes technical information, to make recommendations.
  • Efficient in using case preparation/management tools effectively and efficiently
  • Other duties as assigned 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience handling visas for immigrants and non-immigrants as well as experience in dealing with compliance issues, experience with visas in all categories and for permanent residency
  • Ability to communicate complex legal/policy issues clearly and accurately to colleagues and employees
  • Experienced in processing and filing non-immigrant visa (E-3, H-1B, J-1, and TN) petitions.
  • Preparing and overseeing labor certification documents and the recruitment process
  • Preparing documents in support of visa petitions
  • Maintaining contact with government agencies
  • Maintaining employee database with respect to approval and validity dates of labor certification applications, and visa petitions
  • Attention to detail and desire to achieve a high level of productivity
  • Working knowledge of legal database software
  • Proficient at prioritizing tasks, exercising sound judgment, and managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Skilled at dealing with sensitive employee concerns and situations with discretion

$80,000 - $130,000 a year
The salary range for this position is: $80,000 to $130,000.
