Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement for services rendered. This is a crucial role in our healthcare organization, as it directly impacts our revenue cycle and financial stability.

Responsibilities:
- Review and verify patient information, medical records, and insurance details
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, ICD-10) to diagnoses and procedures
- Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of medical coding guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with the billing team to resolve any coding or billing issues
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant healthcare laws

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Proficient in medical coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

-QMS knowledge a plus
