The Information Technology group of Active Media Services seeks a full time software developer. The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing computerized systems and integrates Salesforce, PeopleSoft Financials, DocuSign and IBM Planning and Analytics as well as maintains and enhances custom in-house systems

The projects typically involve integrating business applications with a variety of technology.The candidate will serve as a member of a technical team, and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing Active’s applications and integration. Duties include needs assessment, design, coding, documentation, testing, and updating. The position requires translating technical specifications to meet requirements within the established software framework. The candidate will make presentations on a regular basis to VP of Application Development to report status and obtain direction. Other duties are as assigned.

Responsibilities

Perform analysis and design, including fact-finding measures designed to ascertain the requirements of the system’s end-users, on small business problems and recommend technical solutions.

Estimate work effort on tasks based upon the baseline data collected as part of Analysis and Design in order to implement schedule planning; prepare test report based on work estimate.

Write software code using PeopleTools, C#, JavaScript, angular.js, python, SQL and RESTful architecture.

Develop reports (i.e., Financial, Media, Orders, Billing, etc.) from coding using PeopleTools, .NET, SQL, Crystal.

Debug applications including interactive debugging, control flow, integration testing, log files, monitoring, memory dumps, Statistical Process Control, and special design tactics to improve detection while simplifying changes.

Troubleshoot issues related to database connectivity and bugs; diagnose malfunctions and implement corrective measures as needed.

Document within the code as per Active’s coding standards as well as develop flow charts to support maintenance of Active's applications.

Compile code for specific hardware, as required.

Perform unit testing on source code to verify and ensure software is fit for use; develop unit testing plan and test scripts; maintain source code.

Write release notes on software products during the development and/or test state.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Experience in Informatica and Angular.js.Fluency in dynamic scripting languages (Python//JavaScript), and RESTful architecture required. Experience developing rich client-side interactive experiences required.Must demonstrate successful completion of projects of significant scope and complexity, possess the ability and willingness to work efficiently with senior management, users and staff and perform multiple tasks with competing deadlines. Good judgment and communication skills are essential.
