The Financial Controller is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of the organization. This entails leadership in global controls and compliance, advising the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on technical accounting matters, maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger and ERP systems, and leading various accounting functions including Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Payroll. Additionally, the role involves dual responsibility for financial reporting alongside the Financial Planning & Reporting (FP&R) Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
Global Consolidations and Reporting: Manage international consolidations and reporting in collaboration with the FP&A Manager and international finance teams.
Technical Accounting Advisory: Provide guidance to the CFO, President, and leadership team on technical accounting matters and stay updated on accounting rule updates.
Compliance Leadership: Lead all controls and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts across the organization, including international locations.
Executive Communication: Lead quarterly compliance calls and presentations at both executive and parent company levels.
Board Membership: Serve as a Board Member of elected statutory boards of the corporation as needed.
Banking Relationship Management: Oversee all administrative tasks related to banking relationships and authority matrices.
General Ledger Integrity: Partner with international finance and accounting teams to maintain General Ledger integrity through periodic reviews and design of report structures.
Financial Results Review: Co-lead the Working Days 2 (WD2) call on financial results with international locations alongside the FP&R Manager.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate all internal and external audits company-wide.
Payroll Management: Ensure timely submission and control of the payroll function.
Personnel Development: Develop personnel through effective delegation, formal and informal training.
Financial Analysis: Prepare financial analysis as needed to support decision-making processes.
Special Projects: Assist CFO or President with special projects and reports as required.
