The incumbent will work in partnership with the Division Research Administrator to provide operational support to the Research Support team(s) in the Scientific Division(s).
This involves management oversight and direct supervision; staff training, staff mentorship and career development; providing consultation to investigators during the project development process; resource allocation and management in accordance with project-specific funding and infrastructure requirements such as hiring and performance management; and other duties as assigned. This position will assume the responsibilities and oversight of the Research Support team(s) in the Scientific Division(s). The position also provides leadership, direction, and mentoring to multidisciplinary project teams including Research Scientists, Post-Doctoral Research Fellows, Medical Center Investigators, Biostatisticians, Analytical Programmers, and Research Support staff while leading large, moderately complex programs that encompass seven (7) or more medium to large scale projects or multi-regional programs.
