Actalent is actively hiring QC/Food Safety Technicians in Evansville, IN! Apply today for more details!

This company specializes in production, packaging, assembly and distribution of high-quality, shelf-stable food products to the United States Department. This Quality Manufacturing Technician will be helping support new projects with the increase with customer demand. This position is responsible for thermal process testing and for ensuring all retort deviations were properly identified and placed on hold if required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete record review in compliance with federal regulations
  • Conduct heat penetration and temperature distribution testing
  • Report any process deviations to proper personnel and document deviation in retort deviation database
  • Prepare any necessary equipment and packaging for following day’s testing
  • Conduct post process analysis on heat penetration contains, including but not limited to residual airs, drain weights, piece count, and pH tests.

Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of GMP experience OR relevant associates/bachelors degree
  • Mechanical aptitude and lab ability
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining close communication and collaborative work relationships in cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred but Not Required: Any experience within Food & Beverage Industry
  • Preferred but Not Required: Better Process Control Certification or other relevant certs
