Actalent is Hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist

(Indianapolis, IN)

Description:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for oversight of the quality systems, production, quality laboratory, quality technicians. ect. This Specialist will work along side the quality manager to provide supervision, oversight, and leadership for the quality department. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:

-Manage, lead, train, and support quality technicians throughout the facility.

-Provide oversight, manage, and update quality systems related to HACCP, SQF, GMPs, etc.

-Conduct laboratory testing as needed, oversee quality laboratory functions, and calibrate laboratory equipment.

-Oversee the quality of incoming raw materials, production, and finished product goods.

-Responsible for internal, external, and customer audits.

-Serve as a HACCP and SQF expert updating internal processes and systems and driving continuous improvement.

-Provide support for Quality Manager and SQF Practitioner in their absence.

-Work closely with multiple departments ensuring quality standards are met.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

-Bachelors Degree in a Related Scientific Discipline - ex: Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, etc.

-5 years of quality experience within food and beverage manufacturing

-3 years of supervisory experience within food and beverage manufacturing

-Kosher food manufacturing experience preferred

-Food and Beverage Manufacturing certifications strongly preferred

-Certified Auditor

-HACCP / HARPC

-PCQI

-SQF
