Description:
Perform onsite management of small retail/commercial remodels
Responsible for safety enforcement & safety audits
Creating project schedules & coordinating with subcontractors on a daily basis
Onsite documentation of activities & reporting updates in project management software
Handling submittals, change orders, RFI's, and other related documents
Reading blueprints, drawings, site layouts in accordance to specifications
Proposing bids and determining the costs of labor and materials for projects
Attending client meetings/coordinating with client onsite
Daily job-site clean-up/ensuring site is set-up for operation the next day
Ensuring site is secure & locked up prior to wrapping up the shift
Occasional basic hand/power tool use
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (Associate's a minimum requirement)
An internship to 3 years of experience working for a general contractor, or related construction experience
Hands-on attitude and ability to work with their hands
Must be open to working night shifts, weekends dependent on project
Ability to travel around the Chicagoland area for projects
