The Medical Assistant is responsible for clinical and clerical tasks around the office. They are responsible for providing high-quality customer service to all patients consistent with the mission, values, and operating principles of the hospital. Accountable for ensuring that the highest professional standards in accuracy, speed, and consistent quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drawing blood, injections
• Cleaning and sanitizing rooms
• Prepping rooms/assisting with procedures and stocking supplies
• Rooming patients
• Taking down the patient’s chief complaint
• Basic vital signs: height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, sugar levels
• Some administration work: answering phones, scheduling appointments, insurance verifications, referrals, prior authorizations

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant certification is required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 0-10 years experience
• EMR experience is preferred
