Description:

Responsible for the development of technical solutions to complex problems within client, our customers and suppliers.

Deliver manufacturing process development and integration for production.

Utilize root cause analysis, preventative and corrective action to reduce/eliminate waste.

Maintain positive, team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers

Continuously improve approach by implementing Lean principles.

Responsible for the development of manufacturing process solutions to complex problems through:

Implementation of better optimized production processes

Developing and deploying APQP principles in alignment with the Zero Defect Manufacturing approach

Identify key areas for improvement though structured Industrial Maturity assessments

Drive a can do attitude with team members and respect equal opportunities.

Undertake key activities in support of product development, first article development, configuration changes, build process definition and implementation.

Undertakes problem solving in a structured and logical way appropriate to the issue.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing Engineering (including Zero defect manufacturing and Lean experience)

Ability to perform Advanced Product Quality Planning with AS9145 standards

Prior experience with Aerospace is highly preferred

Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with Aluminum Metal forming processes – (Forming, Heat Treat, Artificial Ageing) strongly preferred

• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (ideally Siemens)

• Root Cause and corrective action experience

• Working knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000

• Drafting and/or AutoCAD experience

• Training and/or experience in lean tools and techniques (Practical Problem Solving, A3, PFMEA and /or Fishbone diagrams)

• Experience in Composites Manufacturing, including University studies

• Project / Program Management

• Familiarity with AS9145 APQP process or equivalent

• Strong communication skills

• Able to work in a strong team environment

• Self-starter

• Fluent in English language, both written and spoken
