Actalent is Hiring for an Inspector

Description:

The Transmission and Distribution Maintenance Technician provides technical assistance for the inspection, design, maintenance, construction, and operation of the electric transmission and distribution systems. The T&D Maintenance Technician also provides project management, contract administration, and regulatory correspondence. The T&D Maintenance Technician has the expertise to plan, design, complete cost estimates, manage projects, and provide technical expertise in a limited number of technical areas such as: T&D maintenance plans, T&D operations plans, and engineering and construction codes and standards.

1. Performs transmission and distribution regulatory inspections, including field and office inspections. (40%)

2. Provides contract administration duties for aerial patrols, transmission tower painting, and wood pole treatment program contractors. (25%)

3. Provides regulatory correspondence, including annual and quarterly regulatory reports, probable violation responses, re-franchising transmission lines, and filing the IUB inspection and maintenance plan. (25%)

4. Populating and updating the TIM database. (10%)

5. Needs to have knowledge of the NESC (National Electrical Safety Code)

Skills:

Inspection, Electrical, Construction, Quality control, telecommunications construction

1. Two years associate engineering degree or 4 years related experience.

2. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

3. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

4. Project management skills: ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

5. Preferably experience as a third party attacher. - Joint Use Inspection
