Overview:

Our client is seeking to hire 1-2 Field Service Technicians to join their team. This position will have travel involved, and the home base will be Groton, CT. Responsible for providing a variety of moderately complex technical support for maintenance support, repairs, modification, equipment setup and testing. May provide work leadership and technical assistance to lower-level technicians. Will be supporting Naval electronic systems.

Description:

• Will be supporting US Naval ships and submarines in regards to their electrical systems and equipment consisting of:
  • Radar/Sonar systems
  • Comms systems
  • Navigation systems
  • Weapons/Combat systems
• Responsible for the following duties and tasks of said systems:
  • Installations
  • Maintenance
  • Troubleshooting
  • Testing
  • Ripouts
  • System Upgrades
• May provide work leadership and technical assistance to lower-level technicians.
• Serve as customer contact on technical issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues by utilizing drawings and technical documentation.
• Conduct repairs and / or modifications using a variety of hand tools and test equipment.
• Demonstrate setup and adjustment of complex equipment for potential users or operators.
• Complete appropriate written documentation and feedback for onsite service and installations.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers with a high degree of professionalism.
• Determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customer’s needs.

Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance.
• 5 years of hands on technical experience.
• Former ET, FC, or FT highly preferred. (Other technical rates from the Navy also considered)
• Open to heavy travel. Both CONUS and OCONUS, upwards of 80%.
• Team player.
• Great communication skills.

Additional Information:

• This role will consist of heavy travel, upwards of 80%.
• Home base will be Groton, CT.
• Pay expectations: Salary, OT, per diem, & bonuses equate to total comp of $105-$110k .
• Primary focus of this position will be Naval electronic systems.
• Growth/advancement potential.
• Former ET's, FC, or FT's tend to work well for these Field Service Technicians.
