The main focus will be to support the commissioning and continuing service needs of these systems at customer sites in the Southeast region of the US (based out of the Birmingham area).
Technology or Engineering degree and/or 3 years of related engineering or technical experience. Technical or on the job training in basic industrial automation programming languages, such as Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, etc
·Experience working with HMI’s such as AB PanelView product lines and programming software FactoryTalk View Machine Edition.
·Proven experience working with PLC based systems such as Compact and ControlLogix product lines and Studio5000 software.
·Capability to perform on-site PLC and HMI program changes in support of customer control and communication goals.
·Ability to interpret and troubleshoot automated systems through the use of electrical/fluid schematics and other support documentation.
·Capability of working with electrical control panels comprised of components such as PLCs, power supplies, I/Ps (proportional regulators), VFDs, and other electrical control devices.
Specific Requirements:
·Must be able to travel up to 50% of time within a regional area.
·Provide assistance to manufacturing team in building and testing custom designed automated systems as required.
·Proven ability to work well with customers in commissioning industrial equipment.
·Strong verbal communication and written documentation skills related to commissioning projects.
·Ability to interpret PLC/HMI code and with factory assistance revise as necessary to meet customer’s expectations.
·Support group goals of building sales of automated systems while maintaining profit.
