Description:

This position performs professional work reviewing non-discretionary applications for various land development permits, inspecting permitted development sites, and enforcing the County Code as it relates to Erosion & Sediment Control. Performs site compliance inspections for commercial and residential sites. Works extensively with and continually builds working relationships with citizens and developers to resolve situations of non-compliance with adopted regulations.

• Inspects sites for compliance with approved permits
• Serves in the capacity of Plan Reviewer and Inspector, in accordance with state-mandated requirements for Erosion & Sediment Control.
• Maintains appropriate state certifications for plan review and inspections;
• Communicates with supervisor, employees, other departments, inspectors, contractors, developers, engineers, architects, property owners, the public, state/federal agencies, outside agencies, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problem
