Description:

MEI is a real time logistics provider to Honda and supports all of the Honda facilities in the Ohio area. This role is in the Tire Assembly division, where they are installing, mounting, and calibrating the tires of the vehicles.• Responsible for maintaining industrial manufacturing control systems. • Proficient in troubleshooting pneumatics, hydraulic, 24VDC control circuits and mechanical fixtures. • Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of complex automated equipment including mechanical, pneumatic and electrical control circuits. • Fully understand and troubleshoot motor control circuits, 24VDC up to 480VDC three phase power distribution and motors. • Proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) – Mitsubishi/Omron/Allen Bradley • Proficient in troubleshooting, maintaining and/or programming robotic systems desirable. • Proficient in programming and maintaining industrial vision systems. • Program and troubleshoot HMIs • Lead technical aspects of capital project for innovation/automation solutions • Demonstrate and serve as a role model for Respect for the Individual at all times • Maintain professional and consistent Open Communication with all levels of the organization, communicating with diverse groups of people and ensuring understanding • Demonstrate and serve as a role model for a Challenging Spirit and Innovation by continuous improvement in daily processes using PDCA cycles • Demonstrate and serve as a role model for Timely, Informed Decision Making by utilizing genba practices and efficiently gathering information to make decisions that protect the organizationShift 7am-3pm OT is available for associates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Engineering related field with 5 years experience with industrial automation equipment• Engineering/maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing facilities• Experience with Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi PLCs, , HMIs preferred• Experience with 24vdc control systems.• Experience with maintaining or programming robotics (Yaskawa, Fanuc, Motoman preferred)• Experience in repair and analysis of mechanical and electronic systems• Experience with industrial vision system applications (Cognex and Keyence a plus)• Hands on maintenance and troubleshooting experience with knowledge of all aspects of machine troubleshooting, process and machine improvements and installation of new equipment• Excellent communication, both verbal and written, as well as organizational skills• Ability to interact professionally within the company and with the customer• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office programs• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office programs and creating effective presentations to justify Capital Projects/Large Expenses
