Actalent is supporting an Engineering firm in Kansas City that is looking for several Entry to Mid Level Engineers to work on power distribution projects.

Description:

• Provide detailed engineering, design and planning assessments and recommendations

• Evaluate system operations, and provide project scope development for overhead and underground utility systems

• Evaluate electrical power systems and design overhead/underground replacements per utility standards

• Develop/modify accurate estimates and engineering drawings using BlueBeam (PDF software), AutoCAD and/or GIS software

• Meet with manager, engineers and colleagues to review status of each project and determine an appropriate communication course of action

• Visit site plan to determine the condition of existing utility and collecting necessary information for each project

• Coordinate ROW acquisition, planning, and design functions through regular project updates for schedule adherence and work forecast

Skills & Qualifications:

• BS Degree in an Engineering discipline, Electrical Engineering preferred, open to Mechanical, Civil, Structural Engineering

• Minimum 6 months of Engineering experience with power generations, power systems, electrical systems and/or strong interest to work in the power/utilities industry

• CAD skills including AutoCAD or similar software, and general computer skills (email, Microsoft Office)

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other managers, clients, customers, and local permitting agencies

• Great operational planning skills

• Strong interpersonal skills
