Description:

Actalent is seeking a degreed Electrical Engineer with 5-7 years of experience and a working knowledge of building systems and codes. This individual will be responsible for performing all aspects of electrical design services including conceptual studies, design development documents and construction documents under the direct supervision of a Senior Electrical Engineer or Principal. Individuals must also be able to design lighting layouts and do all electrical engineering services associated with the construction phase, including field visits, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing record drawings. Our client works on a variety of projects including: healthcare, office buildings, education, facilities, retail, commercial, hospitality, office/mixed use and government work (NAVFAC, USACE, etc).

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of electrical design services including conceptual studies, design development documents, and construction documents
• Execute all electrical engineering services associates with the construction phase including site visits, answering RFIs/submittals, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing record drawings
• Prepare accurate, complete, and code-compliant drawings and specifications for schematic, design development, and construction document submittals.
• Operate under direct supervision of a Senior Electrical Engineer or Principal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience within the MEP industry
• EIT preferred but not required
• Electrical Engineering Degree
• AutoCAD is a must and Revit is a plus
