Cyber Systems Engineer - Buffalo, NY

Description:

Cyber Systems Engineer needed to support Security System Enhancements.

Experience Needed:

• Apply security measures and hardening to computing systems.
• Installing, hardening, and patching Linux/Windows operating systems.
• Implement recovery procedures to include backup and potential restoration.
• Maintain the plan of action and milestones (POA&M) for cybersecurity vulnerabilities; create and maintain installation, maintenance, and upgrade procedures.
• Perform manual checks to verify compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide.
• Conduct systems security audits
• Coordinate installation and provide backup recovery procedures.
• Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
• Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, and install system wide software.
• Linux/Unix administration and Windows Administration.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications :

• Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree
• 1-5 Years of Experience
• Experience with Red Hat Linux Operating Systems
• Experience generating software releases
• Git/GitHub
• JIRA
• Jenkins
• Confluence
• Agile Development Methodologies
• Department of Defense DOD security protocols

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level
