Job Description:
My client is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team!
Responsibilities Include:
·Design, install, and maintain electrical control systems for process equipment and instrumentation
·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop control system specifications and requirements
·Program, troubleshoot, and modify programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), human-machine interfaces (HMI’s)
·Install and configure control hardware including sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces
·Conduct electrical testing / verification of control systems, wiring, and instrumentation for functionality and compliance to standards
·Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to install, diagnose, test, and resolve electrical- control issues
·Develop and maintain documentation for wiring diagrams, system schematics, technical manuals, and startup processes
·Participate in the commissioning and start-up of new control systems, equipment, transmitters, gauges, control valves, probes, level switches, temperature switches, flow meters, and associated equipment that sends and receives data
·Help train maintenance and operations personnel on control system concepts / procedures and instrumentation functionality / standards
·Analyze equipment installation and offer solutions to improve operational and regulatory efficiencies
·Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure control systems and instrumentation calibrations meet standards
·Collaborate with vendors as required to ensure parts and equipment are on time and available
·Spend time on the production floor
