Description:
The Associate Scientist position will work within the manufacturing team to execute viral vector production using (hands-on) both upstream and downstream operation activities for use in gene therapy applications. The Associate Scientist will also support in routine analytical activities and communicate results to guide decision making.
The candidate will need to review and understand technical documents, batch records for production, standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocols, etc. related to upstream, downstream and analytical processes. Candidate must be able to communicate and write in a scientific manner.
The candidate will be trained to support upstream, downstream and analytical processes. The candidate will learn to prepare and modify documents; including, but not limited to, SOPs, Batch Records, and qualification protocols. They will learn and be expected to maintain equipment and
materials in the lab suites. Previous knowledge of aseptic technique, cell culture, protein purification, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) is preferred.
