An established Architecture firm looking for an individual with 3-5 years of experience.
The role’s main responsibility (roughly 50% of their weekly hours) will be heavy programming and documentation of ADA requirements on a site by site basis preparing detailed excel site assessment reports, proposed remediation scope of work and once client approval is obtained working CDs. The remaining 20 hours/week would be assisting current PMs with production work in AutoCAD.
This individual would be titled a Jr. Project Manager depending on experience. This person would work on CAD CDs for half of their day and process shop drawings, submittals and RFI’s for projects the other half. This role would have site visits for CA as well as client contact. They would be heavily focused with accessibility, and existing condition assessments.
Will be mainly be helping out with Chase banks for the time being but will move over to other retail/commercial projects after.
The client has established standards that this person will work within - this isn't high end design, will be working within a corporate template.
This would be a learning process - they definitely need someone who has experience working on projects from start to finish within AutoCAD. They need someone who can hit the ground running, would most likely work remotely and work under people who would be remote too, so communication would need to be high.
Needs to have in depth ADA knowledge and experience with national commercial clients
Needs someone who can do construction documents/drawings, has knowledge of interior alteration projects, office build outs or retail projects.
They would be working on a team and working under the main client contact - this person would be working on CDs, coordinating details and finishes.
Working knowledge of detailing as it relates to interior alterations, framing details, wall partitions, ADA requirements for clear floor space, ADA accessibility building codes, general material/specifications, shop drawings & submittals.
The design work of projects would be prepared for by others - there may be some opportunity for CA work (might do some site visits or OAC meetings), but right now there is no need for that and the client is handling it directly.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working on retail build outs and/or renovation commercial projects and national commercial clients
Needs to have ADA knowledge and experience with accessibility
Bachelor's degree in Architecture
Proficient in AutoCAD
3 years of experience at an architecture firm working on commercial projects
