This individual will be trained in the areas of toolmaking, mold making, transfer and progressive dies, plastic injection molds, rubber injection and compression molds. In addition, they will be developed in the areas of die cast automation projects, part development, prototypes and work on custom machinery parts, jigs, fixtures and operate/program CNC, VCM and Wire and sink EDM machines.
Job Duties:
Maintain and construct compound and progressive dies.
Skilled at working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Passionate about learning and committed to continual improvement.
Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications.
Study models, sketches, blueprints or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating assemblies, tools, or dies.
Set up and operate conventional machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders, to bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions.
Assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications, and make adjustments as necessary
Select metals to be used from a range of metals and alloys, based on properties such as hardness and heat tolerance.
Requirements:
Must be ITAR Compliant
Experience in an Aerospace and Defense manufacturing setting
Experience with toolmaking and plastic injection molds
