• Responsible for managing a team of quality technicians and 1 quality supervisor while performing all supervisor/HR tasks such as hiring, scheduling, discipline, professional development, and payroll.

• Develop, implement, and maintain all food safety and quality systems in a constantly changing production plant environment.

• Drive continuous improvement within the plant utilizing cross-department and external resources.

• Define, re-assess, and maintain site HACCP/Food Safety plans. Ensure the implementation of all controls outlined in the food safety plans.

• Educate and continuously develop an effective Food Safety Culture

• Manage the site-specific complaints program while ensuring a thorough root cause analysis into customer complaints.

• Develop monitoring activities to collect and analyze data to improve department specific KPIs.

• Manage internal and external (SQF/Customer/Kosher/Non-GE) auditing program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Management, or equivalent work experience

• Minimum of 5 years of food processing/quality experience

• Minimum of 3 years in a management/supervisory experience in food manufacturing environment

• HACCP, PCQI, and SQF certification preferred

• Strong knowledge of FDA regulation, GFSI Schemes, and food industry best practices (GMPs, SOPs, Pest Control, allergen control, etc.)

• Self-sufficient ability to critically think and drive action on matters revolving food safety and quality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
