Rig Technician

Rig Technician - OT expected (nights and weekends) 50% Travel including internationally.

SCOPE and PURPOSE

Provide diagnostic, assembly, modification and repair service to company foundation equipment, especially specific company Rigs.

This position is mainly based in TX or CA. Periodic travel to customer or company job sites is required

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspects equipment for damages.
• Operationally tests equipment and / or components.
• Cleans equipment.
• Looks up and orders parts.
• Rigs, lifts, and / or moves equipment and / or components.
• Disassembles and assembles equipment and / or components.
• Diagnoses and corrects malfunctions in the shop or field.
• Maintains the work area and yard in a clean and orderly manner.
• Properly uses and accounts for company equipment and assets.
• Travels domestically and internationally.
• Demonstrates professional conduct at all times.
• Practice occupational and professional safety procedures and actively ensure and contribute to a safe work environment
• Performs various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS

Has a responsibility to follow Company, safety, and quality procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

1.Education and Training High school diploma required. Associate’s Degree in a mechanical, hydraulic or electrical machinery related field or equivalent diploma from a post secondary educational institution desired or as deemed sufficient by management.

2.Technical Requirements Must be able to correctly carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.

Must be able to effectively communicate and report findings, test results, and inspection results verbally and in written English.

Must be willing and able to work overtime and on weekends, or on call duty, and be willing and able to travel up to, but not limited to 30%, including internationally.

Must have a valid passport 62400and driver’s license.

3.Experience At least 2 years of directly related training and / or experience.

4.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, see, read, hear, have the physical and mental ability to travel independently and the physical and mental ability to comply with customary workshop, office, job site work environments, safety requirements and other customary regulations and requirements in these environments.

Must be physically and mentally able to operate heavy machinery, automobiles and light trucks, cranes, lifting equipment, computers and diagnostic equipment.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The person identified in this Job Description is accountable for : serving external and internal customers to positively impact company sales efforts by performing maintenance, inspections, repairs, cleaning, and other services to the equipment in a timely and professional manner.

COMPETENCY

The above employee has demonstrated the capability to satisfactorily perform the responsibilities of this position.
