- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing of web-based and mobile applications, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Identify, record, prioritize, and track software defects using issue tracking systems like Jira or Bugzilla.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in requirement analysis, design reviews, and sprint planning meetings to provide input on testability and quality aspects.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover defects and usability issues that may not be addressed by existing test cases.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and provide detailed information to assist with resolution.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of testing environments, including software installation and configuration.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends to improve testing processes and methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Software QA Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Experience in manual and automated testing of web-based and mobile applications using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience with issue tracking systems like Jira, Bugzilla, or HP ALM for defect tracking and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and communicate findings effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a remote work environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
- ISTQB or similar software testing certifications are a plus.
