Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized care and treatment to patients with wounds, ulcers, and other skin conditions. Your expertise in wound management and your ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care will be crucial in promoting optimal healing and preventing complications.
Position: RN - Wound Care
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Facility: Hospital
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract with possible extension
Shift: 8hr days (7a-3.30p or 8a-4.30p) 40hr guarantee
Required:
Duties:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients with wounds, ulcers, or other skin conditions
- Develop individualized care plans based on the assessment findings and the specific needs of each patient
- Administer appropriate wound care treatments, including cleaning, debridement, dressing changes, and application of topical medications
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of wound healing and adjust the care plan as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all assessments, interventions, and outcomes
