MLS / MT/MLT - Laboratory (Varied) - Sign on Bonus : Up to $20,000

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) to join our team. As an MLT, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory procedures and tests to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Your expertise in data analysis, laboratory management, and medical terminology will contribute to the overall success of our clinical laboratory.

Duration: Permanent

Shift: Full-time benefited position, 36 hours per week, variable hours as needed.

Hourly: $32.00 - $50.00

Salary: $66,560- $104,000 (based on a 40 hour work week)

What you'll do:

• Work closely with other laboratory employees, the Laboratory Director and Medical Director in order to maintain and enhance patient care services of South Peninsula Hospital;
• Perform in all areas involved in pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic testing in the laboratory. Performs testing of high and moderate complexity levels according to established procedures;
• Adhere to quality control policies and perform proficiency testing competently;
• Follow policies related to safety, infection control and chemical hygiene (requires a basic understanding of regulatory requirements as established by the various regulatory agencies such as CLIA, and OSHA; Relate and communicate competently and professionally with the supervisors and staff of other departments, physicians and patients as an official representative of the laboratory and hospital.

What you'll need:

• Clinical Lab Scientist 1: Associate of Science degree, MLT, ASCP certified or equivalent, Generalist
• Clinical Lab Scientist 2: Bachelor of Science degree, MT (MLS), ASCP certified or equivalent, Generalist or MLT with responsibility over an area in the Lab in additional to working as a Generalist.

Requirement:

• Associates Degree in Medical Technology or Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology. Required.
• National Registry as Medical Laboratory Technician(MLT) by ASCP or Clinical Laboratory Scientist( CLS) by NCA or equivalent. Required.
• Successful completion of registry exam for Medical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: ASCP
• STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Alaska
