Position Summary

The Account Manager is the first point of contact for current clients that need assistance with their policies. This position is responsible for handling incoming client requests in a clear, timely, and professional manner. They will also support the other service team members when workloads require additional assistance.

This position offers incentives from day one!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take incoming phone calls/monitor service inbox and fax folder and handle customer needs as they arrive
  • Customer Service as needed
  • Follows up with clients as needed/requested by producers following first 90 days of policy
  • Document all customer interactions properly.
  • Filing Documents and follow up on work flow activities as assigned.
  • Processing incoming mail as assigned.
  • Work with underwriters to implement a plan to retain policies that are being cancelled due to underwriting concerns if policy is over 90 days old.
  • Address issues with missing mail, incorrect contact information
  • Send and track requests to carriers for endorsements
  • While in a client’s file, check for cross-sell or up-sell opportunities.
  • Rewrite polices which have cancelled as needed.
  • Able to review policies for accuracy and offer improvements in coverage, in addition to options for available discounts and opportunities for cross selling
  • Ask for referrals from customers with good experiences.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Assist customers through annual renewals as needed
  • Assist customers with billing questions that may arise

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or the recognized equivalent in education and experience, required
  • Active P&C license, required 
  • Previous customer service experience, over the phone preferred

Technology Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Other Qualifications:

  • Impeccable attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy with all tasks
  • Multitasking and analytical skills
  • Ability to learn new computer systems with ease
  • Capability to meet timelines and deadlines
  • Self-Motivated and resourceful, understanding how to prioritize
  • Exceptional business writing skills and can visualize as well as convey a message into relevant and interesting content.
