Job Description Cabinetworks Group is looking for a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to add to its team! This position would be on 1st shift. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the execution of continuous improvement activities as directed by the continuous improvement manager. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate and facilitate kaizen teams for the continuous improvement of lean manufacturing processes. Participate in leading kaizen events among other leadership staff within the plant. Partner with quality assurance to ensure adherence to standards through lean manufacturing principles such as error-proofing. Aid manager in maintaining the Cabinetworks Group Operating System (COS) training schedule and completion for all plant personnel. Maintain 6S program and coordinate 6S activities throughout the manufacturing facility. Maintain standard work and ensure updates are occurring with all continuous improvement activities. Review processes using lean tools and documentation to eliminate waste, implement pull production, and make value flow. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience. Intermediate to advanced computer experience with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with lean manufacturing tools and systems. Experience participating in kaizen events. Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel 5-10% of the time for training and development. PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge or training of Six Sigma continuous improvement techniques. Experience coordinating and leading kaizen events. Knowledge of ISO guidelines.
