ACOM Integrated Solutions is Hiring a Fire Alarm Technician Near Columbus, GA

Our Low Voltage Technician (Level 1 and 2) will install, terminate, and service security, camera systems, basic fire alarm and access control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installation of special equipment systems which include, but not limited to, fire and security alarm systems, video surveillance, access control, as well as other miscellaneous low voltage systems.
  • Perform tasks such as drilling holes for cabling and accessing locations such as crawlspaces or attics to ensure optimal wiring layouts.
  • Learn to use provided statement of work and drawings to properly install systems based on building layout and setting.
  • Learn to install wiring and equipment in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Continued product training, continuing education and development. (Training for NICET Level I)
  • Responsible for adherence to Acom safety and standards.
  • Some traveling required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read installation and system manuals.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools to install hardware.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screen.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational/Technical school training preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending and climbing both A-frame and extension ladders
  • Must be able to install system hardware and wiring
  • Must be able to lift 60-75 lbs
  • Must be willing to climb into attics and crawl spaces
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
