The LPN provides an integral part in our Patient Care Team by organizing, coordinating and facilitating care for assigned patients. They will implement and contribute to plan of care as developed by RN and assists in evaluating patient assessment and discharge planning.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Graduate of accredited school of Practical Nursing
• Knowledge of medication
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communications skills [both verbal and written]
• Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet multiple demands
• Ability to work in a high stress area
• Able to successfully pass basic EKG test
• Excellent Customer Service skills

Required Length and Type of Experience

• 2-3 years clinical experience, preferred but not required

Required Licensure or Certification

• Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio
• Current BLS certification required to be obtained during orientation
• Certified to start IV’s or successfully completes IV course within 6 months of hire.

Required Physical and Environmental Demands

• Required full range of body motion including handling and lifting of patients. Manual and finger dexterity; eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries item weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Exposure to communicable disease and/or body fluids is minimal.
