ACMC Healthcare System is Hiring an Insurance Verification Clerk Near Ashtabula, OH

This person will be responsible for reviewing accounts for accuracy and will contact pre-certification companies to authorize treatment within the established contractual agreements and regulatory agency guidelines.

Contacts agencies to perform pre-certification authorization to assure prompt payment and reduce the percentage of returned and denied claims.
Verify insurance coverage for any admission from the emergency department and provide pre-certifications and referrals from the physicians, which are in place for all surgical registrations.
Complete a Medicaid application for self-pay patients and newborns.
Demonstrate positive customer/patient relations.
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology, federal regulations, third party insurance coverage, and billing requirements.
Experience with data entry or computer skills.
