ACMC Healthcare System is Hiring a General Xray Machine Operator (GXMO) Near Ashtabula, OH
GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs standard Radiological procedures including chest, abdomen, spine, extremities, and skull.
Ability to operate computerized and digital radiographical equipment
Delivers excellent patient care, provides verbal and written instructions to patients and families on procedures as needed. Schedules all patients procedures. Monitors and determines priority of patients. Patient care and people awareness should demonstrate high concerns and sensitivity.
Demonstrates the care and operation of Radiography equipment according to technical specifications and applications.
Takes responsibility for patient/personal radiation safety. Follows Radiation Safety guidelines for monitoring film badges.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Completion of 12 classroom hours of instruction in accordance with the requirements of the particular state approved facility attended.
Appropriate clinical training of at least 8 hours with proven competency for the clinical site in area(s) of practice.
Required Length and Type of Experience
Minimum one year experience as a General Xray Machine Operator
Required Licensure or Certification
Current state lisencure as a General Xray Machine Operator (GXMO)
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time; must lift and carry items weighting up to 50 pounds. Ability to assist with positioning and transporting patients, i.e., pushing beds, stretchers and wheelchairs. Requires the ability to maneuver equipment and motor coordination to operate equipment.
