ACMC Healthcare System is Hiring an Assistant Director of Ambulatory Nursing Near Ashtabula, OH

The Assistant Director of Ambulatory Nursing is responsible for clinically & clerically supporting the mission, vision, and values of ACMC Healthcare System. This position will work cooperatively with leadership in the daily operational oversight of staff to include, but not limited to: staff scheduling, supply inventory, clinical support, monitoring & maintenance of quality assurance/control and performance measures, ensures internal/external (patient, staff, facility departments) customer satisfaction, and communicates with and seeks guidance from leadership.

Assists in the coordination of comprehensive multi-disciplinary patient-centered programs across the continuum, creating a culture that promotes an environment of healing by focusing on the emotional and physical well-being of patients and employees. Assists in the management of The Ashtabula Clinic medical group practices by developing a professional climate and philosophy of patient care which promotes optimum health care delivery, the execution of clear goals and standards, and the continual investigation of alternative methods to facilitate operations.

This position fosters a caring and professional environment which allows each employee to do their best work, feel personally satisfied, and reach their fullest potential, which in turn lends itself the philosophy of putting the patient first.

The Assistant Director will work cooperatively with staff, administrative staff, physicians, and other department directors to resolve mutual concerns.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • RN - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and licensed in the State of Ohio with one year experience in a primary care office, hospital, or urgent care center and actively pursuing a BSN license with achievement within 36 months after hire.
  • Leadership and management skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated and ongoing commitment to continuous professional growth, development and excellence required.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills required.
  • Intermediate computer experience and experience with electronic medical records required.

Required Length and Type of Experience:

  • Minimum of one year experience a Registered Nurse in a primary care office, hospital, or urgent care center.

Required Licensure or Certification:

  • Current Ohio license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • BLS certification required

Required Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Sitting, standing, ability to utilize keyboard, lifting, stooping, flexible scheduling, and adaptable to changing environment.
  • Must be mobile for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to utilize medical/office equipment.
  • Frequently requires carrying items that weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work flexible scheduling (8 to 12 hour days).
  • Requires full range of motion, manual & finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires hearing & vision corrected to normal range.
  • May have some exposure to communicable diseased and body fluids.
  • May have some exposure to environmental or body odors.
