Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide general nursing care in our clinical oncology setting by performing all required duties in compliance with the Ackerman Cancer Center standard of care.
Essential Jon Functions
• General nursing care for assigned patients
• Monitoring of medical conditions of cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy
• Assessment of clinical needs & medication management
• Assistance & Consultation with physicians regarding patient care
• Provision of patient & family education regarding radiation therapy and possible side effects of cancer treatment
• Assistance in patient assessment & intervention
• Management of patient navigation and follow up activities
• Accurate phone triage for patients
Requirements
Required
• 3 years Registered Nurse (RN) experience in a clinical setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited university
• Current Florida Registered Nursing License
• BLS/ACLS Certifications
• Strong patient care skills
• Excellent Communication skills
Preferred
• 1 year Registered Nurse (RN) experience in clinical radiation oncology setting
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
Hours
• Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm
• Full time/40 hours per week
