The Electro-Mechanical Technician performs maintenance and repairs of all machines and line equipment and executes related project management duties in a food manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Diagnose, plan, and perform all operations necessary to install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, rebuild, & dismantle various types of complex manufacturing and support equipment, with special focus on troubleshooting control systems, servo drives, and motors on high-speed packaging lines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and other proactive activities to monitor and maintain equipment in optimal condition.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems, mechanical drive systems. Allen Bradley PLC Systems, RSLinx, process control instrumentation, 3 phase (480V) circuits, motor starters and controls.
  • Coordinate with other technicians, production personnel, engineering, management, and other stakeholders to plan and execute maintenance activities.
  • Drive achievement of production goals and provide training and coaching to operators and other maintenance associates.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized work areas.
  • Comply with all external regulatory requirements (OSHA, FDA, and EPA) and ACH policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Assist other maintenance technicians as priorities dictate, time allows, or directed.
  • Identify opportunities for maintenance or process improvement and drive improvement recommendations to completion.
  • Complete or assist with special projects, as directed.
  • Perform other duties as requested by factory leadership.

  • Communication – Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and external contacts.

What You'll Need:

  • At least 1 year of experience in troubleshooting and repair of Pneumatic Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLC Systems, RSLinx, Process Control Instrumentation, 3 phase (480V) Circuits, Motor starters and controls and electronic circuit boards preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in working with high paced automation and packaging equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Allen Bradley software.
  • Able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. of weight routinely.
  • Able to perform extensive walking throughout a 400,000 sq. ft facility.
