I’m working with a well known manufacturing company based close to Greensboro, NC.

They are looking for an experienced Calibration Technician to join the team on 1st shift. While it is definitely a supportive business this is a role where the successful Calibration Technician will hit the ground running due to their extensive experience in similar environments.

Responsibilities:

• Apply knowledge of Science, Physics, Maths & electronics to calibrate measurement & test equipment
• Ensure measurement accuracy in Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, DC/Low frequency, RF/Microwave, Fluid, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamics & Time & Frequency disciplines
• Identify and utilize manual and automated measurement procedures
• Maintenance, troubleshooting & repair of precision equipment
• Be confident with difficult calibration tasks
• Prepare calibration reports & certificates
• Lab housekeeping & administrative duties
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to perform general math and algebra functions
• Understanding of Basic Statistics
• Must possess good written and oral, communication skills
• Technical writing ability
• Intermediate ability to troubleshoot repair, align and optimize precision equipment
• Intermediate computer skills
• Proficient in use of MS Word and Excel
• Minimum three years of calibration experience some of which can be offset with formal metrology training
