POSITION OVERVIEW:Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Transit Coordinator will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing CDOT transportation services. The Transit Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining driver schedules, ensuring efficient and timely operation of Bustang and Pegasus Services.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:The below list is not all inclusive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
- Develop and manage driver transit schedules and routes in alignment with service requirements, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data essential for scheduling and route planning.
- Monitor and evaluate transportation data to make informed decisions, addressing scheduling challenges and service enhancements.
- Respond promptly to scheduling conflicts, resource allocation issues, and service disruptions.
- Prepare reports and presentations detailing schedule performance, key metrics, and recommendations for improvements.
- Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing and coordinating CDOT operations to ensure timely and reliable services.
- Communicate effectively with transit operators, road supervisors, and staff to implement schedule changes and operational procedures.
- Assist in streamlining daily business operations.
- Assist in projects or additional tasks across departments as required.

SCHEDULE:Exempt: In light of the nature of the transportation industry, the Company does not maintain regular business hours. You are expected to work customary business hours but will vary as determined by the Company’s specific business needs. Schedules are subject to change and may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, or multiple-day shifts. Flexibility with the work schedule and the ability to work any shift assigned is required.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:- CDL license with appropriate endorsements and state certificates preferred, not required.
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to motor coach operators including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Rules.
- Strong analytical, conceptualization, interpretation, and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency, and readily acclimates to an ever-changing environment.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely using appropriate mediums (for example, face-to-face, e-mail, and presentations), listen effectively, demonstrate understanding, and clarify meaning for others.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE:Required:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience dispatching and scheduling in transportation industry.
- Experience supervising and scheduling staff in multi-shift, multi-site environment.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business, or related field.
Salary:$60K/yr - $65K/yr
