General Summary:

The Workforce Administrator will be responsible for sourcing candidates for placement. In addition to having experience working as an Electrician, the Workforce Administrator must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques and have a good knowledge of the company’s organization structure, policies and procedures, staffing needs as well as knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices including affirmative action. This position reports to the Workforce Coordinator.

Preferred Job Skills:

  • Able to demonstrate advanced computer and keyboard skills to include MS Office Suite.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain required levels of confidentiality when entrusted with sensitive business, customer or employee related information.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to maintain high levels of productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Effective and professional communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Able to maintain a pleasant customer service attitude while under pressure.
  • High level of professional business acumen.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish.

Mandatory Hiring Requirements:

References, Background Check, Drug Screen Testing, Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assists the Workforce Coordinator with all duties as assigned.
  • Regularly meets with Workforce Coordinator regarding staffing needs and ensures vacant positions are posted.
  • Coordinates with hiring managers to determine best strategies for their positions.
  • Works with Recruitment Manager at the Home Office to develop partnerships with adult career education programs such as tech schools, job centers, veteran re-entry programs, etc. as a pipeline for recruitment.
  • Assists with screening candidates, conducting interviews (by phone and in person) and makes recommendations for hire (or not hire).
  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external persons to achieve staffing goals.
  • Builds a network of qualified candidates, ready for deployment to job sites upon request.
  • Acts as liaison with temporary/contract staffing agencies.
  • Follows guidelines for all federal and state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
  • Maintains log of recruitment activities for affirmative action plan.
  • Serves on the Workforce Development Committee as needed.
  • Attends recruitment fairs and promotes the company.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • License: Valid state driver's license as required by job conditions or by the company.
  • Education: High School Graduate/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a climate-controlled office setting with varying degrees of stress and time pressure.
  • Considerable amount of time making repetitive motions.
  • Considerable amount of time sitting.
  • Considerable amount of time using telephone and computer.
  • Sounds, noise levels may be distracting or uncomfortable.
  • Local day travel is required, occasional, but seldom overnight travel may be required.

Required Physical/Mental Functions:

  • Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.
  • Read and interpret instructional manuals and written instructions.
  • Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead.
  • Able to lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 5-10 pounds.
  • Tolerant to prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
